Vegan Sports Nutrition is built to serve athletes and their performance goals through vegan-based education, guidance, and sources. VSN challenges myths surrounding physical excellence: that meat must be consumed to build muscle; that soy destroys testosterone; that “if a vegan diet was superior, then every Olympian would’ve adopted it by now”. Veganism and athletic progress are no longer divided. The question VSN aims to answer is not a matter of if, but how?
We understand the challenges of eating for success: the difficulty of finding effective plant sources at the grocery store; the constant misunderstanding from peers; the seemingly lack of variety for protein; how to make meals tasty without the need to be a professional chef. We know you because we are you – having gone through these issues ourselves.
VSN will provide athletes and general population with athletic goals – from super competitive to general health – the knowledge to have a personalized fueling system. Topics include vegan cooking, college course notes, logistics of meal preparation, registered dietetics (see below), nutrition research, specific sports requirements, and veganism as a whole.
Veganism is more than a diet. Consider our world of inhumane treatment towards animals – from breeding to slaughter. To overcome this will prove more difficult than any challenge of fueling yourself for a training session. As athletes, we understand competition as our closest friend.
